About Inception Robotics
MedSort accepts a mixed tote of returned medicines and uses machine vision to identify each item before a robotic mechanism places it into user-defined sorting categories. The system can work with a pharmacy’s existing medication-storage arrangement, turning a loose stream of returned stock into organised inventory ready for restocking or further review.
The robot is designed to perform the repetitive recognition, handling and categorisation work normally completed by pharmacy technicians. Inception develops the mechanics, electronics, perception and control software together and has tested the system in live pharmacy environments, including calibration around real packaging, storage layouts and operating processes.
