About NEX Aero
NEX Aero is developing an electric and hybrid-electric cargo aircraft around industrial logistics requirements rather than passenger transport. Its current design targets time-critical payloads of roughly 50–100 kilograms, mission ranges extending from tens to hundreds of kilometres and cargo transfer without landing on a moving or constrained deck.
Maritime and offshore operations are the initial market, including shore-to-vessel, vessel-to-vessel, wind-farm and oil-and-gas logistics where conventional aviation or boats impose long response times and high mobilisation cost. NEX intends the same platform to expand into remote energy, mining, island, river and medical-cold-chain routes once reliability has been established in offshore weather. The aircraft remains under development, and the company states that the evolving configuration and fuller technical design will be disclosed in 2027.
