About Griff Aviation
Griff Aviation builds modular heavy-lift multirotor aircraft in Norway. Its eight-rotor Griff 60 carries payloads up to 60 kilograms, uses quick-release batteries and folds its arms for transport and rapid field setup.
The platform supports cargo hooks, stabilised cameras and customer equipment through a configurable payload interface. Griff rates the aircraft for up to 33 minutes without a heavy load and about 14 minutes while carrying 60 kilograms, with performance dependent on weather and configuration. Aviation-grade engineering, redundant propulsion and removable landing skids target logistics, emergency response, inspection and specialist industrial lifting.

- 2025-10-15 - Award - Griff Aviation nominated for 2025 Industrial Design of the Year
The nomination recognized design solutions combining aesthetics, functionality and technology. Griff linked the recognition to modular UAV platforms built for demanding operating conditions. Chief technology officer Svein Even Blakstad was also selected to present the company design approach at the IDC conference.
