IAI IXA is a four-axis SCARA platform that extends from a compact 180 mm configuration to 1,000 and 1,200 mm high-payload models. The latter carry up to 50 kg and publish 0.56- and 0.61-second standard reference cycles respectively. Across the family, IAI emphasizes a rigid mechanism and optimized control to reduce vibration as the arm settles into position.

Batteryless absolute encoders are standard, eliminating encoder-battery replacement. The range includes cleanroom and IP65 dust-and-splash-resistant configurations, while wiring and pneumatic options support tool integration on the longer arms. XSEL software can simulate robot motion and estimate cycle time before hardware is available. Compliance control and collision detection are offered on selected configurations, with explicit model exclusions; those functions aid insertion and equipment protection but are not substitutes for a safeguarded industrial cell.
