About Tensorfield Agriculture
Tensorfield Agriculture builds Jetty, a field robot that identifies weeds and removes them with precisely targeted jets of heated vegetable oil. Its vision-guided thermal micro-dosing system works between densely planted crops, reaching quarter-inch targeting precision without tilling soil or relying on conventional herbicide application.
Jetty is being used in carrot, spinach and lettuce production trials in the western United States. The robot scans crop beds, classifies weeds and applies a localised treatment, giving growers an automated crop-care workflow for organic-compatible, high-value specialty fields.

- 2025-07-15 - Deployment - Tensorfield runs commercial field trials with major produce grower
Trials ran in multiple growing regions on the U.S. West Coast. A major fresh-produce grower hosted the commercial evaluations. The programme measured weed-control performance, crop protection and operating economics in production fields.

The commercial alpha followed two years of testing and refinement. The unit combined autonomous mobility, crop vision and targeted thermal treatment. Tensorfield described the milestone as preparation for a forthcoming commercial launch.

Testing took place in working agricultural conditions in the Salinas Valley. The chassis was designed as a compact platform for precision crop treatment. The programme moved Tensorfield's robotics work from workshop prototypes into field validation.
