FarmBot develops open-source CNC-style agricultural robots for home gardens, schools, universities, research and small commercial production. Genesis and Genesis XL gantry systems place tools over raised beds to seed, water, weed, measure and photograph crops under control of the FarmBot app.
The company supplies aluminium, stainless-steel and UV-resistant hardware kits together with FarmBot OS, CAD files, bills of materials and assembly documentation. Customers can modify, repair and extend the system, while the same motion and sensing architecture supports crop experiments, accessibility projects and automated food production.

- 2025-06-18 - Product Launch - FarmBot begins shipping Genesis and Genesis XL v1.8 kits
The v1.8 packaging reduced shipment weight by about 20% from v1.7. Hardware changes simplified assembly and reduced component weight and part count. FarmBot published updated bills of materials, CAD models and assembly documentation under its open-source model.
