FIPA cuts sorting-system air consumption at JELD-WEN
FIPA modernized a JELD-WEN package-sorting system with a centralized FMC multi-chamber ejector.
Evidence notes
- FIPA replaced twelve individual ejectors with one FMC multi-chamber ejector on a JELD-WEN door-packaging line.
- Measured compressed-air demand fell from 540 litres per minute to 220 litres per minute, a reduction of about 60 percent.
- The retrofit also reduced noise and gripping faults while improving availability of the twenty-year-old sorting system.
