About
About ZAP Surgical
ZAP-X rotates a linear accelerator around the patient through a gyroscopic beam-delivery architecture, using image guidance to deliver cranial stereotactic radiosurgery. Its self-shielded treatment design can be installed without the conventional radiation vault required by many radiotherapy systems.
The platform has regulatory clearances in the United States, Japan and the European Union and operates through hospital radiosurgery programmes across multiple countries. By August 2026, ZAP Surgical reported eight ZAP-X systems installed in China. The company also develops ZAP-Axon treatment-planning software for the clinical planning workflow.
