About VersaBuilt
VersaBuilt combines robot handling with workholding designed for repeated CNC loading cycles. Its MultiGrip system carries parts between the robot and the machine fixture, including transfers between first and second machining operations. New jobs are configured through parameter entry and part-specific soft jaws, reducing the amount of robot programming involved in changing the workpiece.
Other hardware addresses different tending patterns. DuoGrip uses a double-headed gripper for exchanging parts in single-operation jobs, with replaceable fingers for forms such as shafts and pucks. The ZPS zero-point system supports repeatable vise or pallet loading. VersaBuilt packages these components into mill and lathe automation systems and offers both customer installation and installation support, with custom work available where a process needs changes to the standard arrangement.

The URCap lets a Universal Robots cobot execute machining programs stored on a Haas CNC through the cobot teach pendant. The announcement also described VersaBuilt’s MultiGrip workholding system entering the UR+ pipeline.
