About Tenomix
Tenomix targets the laboratory stage between surgical tissue removal and microscopic analysis. Pathology staff prepare the specimen, search it for lymph nodes and extract the nodes for histology. The company's automated platform combines ultrasound imaging with robotic handling and AI assistance to support that search within excised cancer tissue.
Ultrasound supplies visibility into the specimen, while controlled handling is intended to make the grossing process more consistent. The development programme concentrates on a labour-intensive preparation step that affects which tissue reaches downstream analysis. Its role is to help laboratories find relevant nodes and standardise specimen processing before histological examination supplies the findings used in cancer staging.

- 2025-12-11 - Demonstration - Tenomix advances Lymphonator to near-commercial prototype and hospital validation
The Lymphonator combines robotics, ultrasound imaging and AI to identify lymph nodes in resected cancer tissue. Tenomix progressed from its initial 2021 prototype to a near-commercial system and began testing with at least two Canadian hospitals. The company is targeting a Canadian commercial launch in 2027 while continuing hospital validation.

Tenomix was selected for the 2025 Healthcare Robotics Startup Catalyst cohort, the fourth cohort run by MassRobotics. Tenomix planned to collaborate with Novanta, yaxxoo and Festo while developing Boston-area partnerships and preparing for a live presentation at the May 2025 Robotics Summit & Expo.
