ECA Group introduces 1,000-metre core-sampler recovery system
ECA Group unveiled a compact, 1,000-metre-rated core-sampling skid for light-duty ROVs after installing the first system on an H800-1000 delivered to Monaco.
Why it matters
The compact skid extended solid-core and biological sample recovery to smaller ROVs, a workflow that had previously required heavier vehicles and equipment.

Evidence notes
- The neutral-buoyancy skid combined a five-function electric manipulator with a protected six-compartment telescopic receiver.
- A seven-function telemetry unit controlled the arm, with two functions assigned to extending and retracting the sample drawer.
- The first system was installed on an H800-1000 ROV delivered to the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco.
