Samsung Electronics moved to become Rainbow Robotics' largest shareholder by exercising a call option that raised its stake to 35 percent.

The deal brought Rainbow Robotics into Samsung's consolidated robotics strategy and strengthened Samsung's access to humanoid, collaborative robot and AMR capabilities.
