The company’s welding cells use vision to locate the joint and update the robot’s path as the position or shape of the seam changes. This allows a workcell to compensate for fabrication tolerances and part variation instead of depending entirely on a fixed trajectory created during initial programming.
Inspection continues after the weld is deposited, creating a feedback loop between seam detection, execution and quality assessment. The finished cell brings together the robot, welding process equipment, sensors and control software so fabricators receive an integrated production system rather than separate vision and welding components.
