About CMR Surgical
CMR Surgical develops Versius, a modular robot-assisted system for minimally invasive surgery. Independent bedside units allow a hospital to deploy only the camera and instrument arms required for a procedure and position ports around the patient. An open surgeon console provides three-dimensional high-definition vision and controls small wristed instruments for grasping, cutting, dissection, ligation, electrosurgery and suturing.
Versius Plus adds fluorescence imaging and a digital ecosystem around each case. Versius Connect combines telemetry, synchronised video and instrument timelines for surgeons, while Versius Team helps staff reproduce operating-room setup and monitor utilisation. CMR couples installation with simulation, virtual-reality and competency-based training. The platform has exceeded 45,000 procedures globally, and its regulatory indications vary by market, including U.S. clearance for cholecystectomy in eligible adults.
