About Inversion Semiconductor

Inversion Semiconductor is developing a compact particle accelerator as a light source for extreme-ultraviolet lithography. The architecture is intended to generate tunable 13.5-nanometre radiation in a system substantially smaller than conventional accelerator infrastructure, addressing the source stage used to expose advanced semiconductor patterns.

The company is targeting higher scanner throughput and finer patterning without requiring the same increase in numerical aperture and tool complexity as existing road maps. Its current work is at an early hardware-development stage, centred on proving the accelerator, source efficiency and uniformity before integration into semiconductor-manufacturing equipment.
