Shinkei’s Poseidon system automates the Japanese ike jime process aboard fishing vessels and in processing facilities. Computer vision identifies the fish and guides robotic tools through the required neurological and bleeding steps, applying a consistent procedure shortly after capture rather than relying on scarce specialist labour.
The equipment records species, treatment and process data for each fish, connecting handling quality to later storage and sales decisions. Shinkei manufactures the robots in El Segundo and operates Seremoni as a distribution business for fish processed through the system.
