TQ-RoboDrive ILM50x14

ILM50x14 is a frameless, hollow-shaft servo-motor kit comprising a separate stator and rotor for integration into a customer's mechanism. Removing a conventional motor housing gives designers control over bearings, cooling and structural packaging, which is useful in robot joints, aerospace mechanisms and other compact actuators. TQ traces the ILM drive concept to technology developed by the German Aerospace Center for demanding environments.

For the listed star-serial winding, TQ specifies 219 watts, 0.54 newton-metres nominal torque and 1.75 newton-metres peak torque at 48 volts. The kit weighs 135 grams, uses ten pole pairs and has a 50-millimetre stator outer diameter with a 30-millimetre rotor bore. Its published 3,849-rpm figure is a theoretical no-load speed for that interconnection; final thermal, speed and load performance depends on the surrounding actuator design and inverter.
