About Andromeda Surgical
Andromeda's endoscopic robot is designed to integrate with existing surgical tools, letting a clinician control instruments through a tablet while receiving anatomical navigation. Its initial HoLEP application removes prostate tissue in patients with benign prostatic enlargement. The ASTRA clinical study began with a robotic-assisted procedure at Universidad Católica in Chile in December 2024.
The company is developing AI models to assist surgical decisions and progressively automate individual tasks under surgeon supervision. Partnerships with Richard Wolf and Quanta System support imaging, instrumentation and laser integration. The platform remains investigational and is not commercially available or approved for sale.
