About Harvest Automation
Harvest Automation builds autonomous mobile robots for handling container plants in commercial nurseries and greenhouses. Founded in 2008 and based in Billerica, Massachusetts, the company supplies the HV-100 for spacing, collection, consolidation and follow-me transport. Growers use the robots to move pots between growing arrangements as crops develop, with people working alongside the machines on other nursery tasks.
The HV-100 picks up and places individual containers and operates across suitable greenhouse and outdoor nursery surfaces. Quick-change batteries support continued work, while operating performance depends on terrain, container size and task layout. The company has supplied growers in the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia since 2013. Its commercial offering includes new and used robots, rentals, operator training, service contracts and warranty support, allowing growers to match equipment and support to their seasonal handling needs.

Most customers began with fleets of four robots priced at about USD 30,000 per unit. The systems automated plant-spacing work that represented a significant share of grower labour costs. The customer base demonstrated commercial use of Harvest's human-compatible mobile robots beyond prototype field trials.
